Latest Faffcon 2 blogpost: The Sign you have been looking for!

An excellent post on how NOT to reply to that seeker looking for your services from Piehole, an Irish voiceover casting site. The point is: they are looking to you to solve their problems, not add to them. This doesn’t mean roll over: it means give them the basics, and work the rest in as you go.

One day, I’ll have anough cash on hand to upgrade to a Rain Computers system for my voiceover studio. Until then, I will content myself with reading the very good articles they put out. I have always been a proponent of dual drives if available, even in the onslaught of laptops being used for the studio.

And so, another beginning. I am firing up a voiceover-centric blog as I proceed in this fast and furious business.

Why a blog? I mean, for God sakes, man, don’t you have Twitter? Why, yes I do. But there are times I want to share things that the 140 character limit stifles into Bit.ly shortened links and the egregious use of “ur” for “you’re” and various other teenage text tricks that my son is much better at. And yes, it will also be used for self promotion, which the very next post will contain.

I hope that sometime soon, I am providing helpful information for neophytes, some funny stuff and not wasting your time. Even if the blog itself is not so…er…pretty.

So, a start.
